Ana Maria brings over ten years’ experience as an international development economist and innovator, having worked with multiple United Nations agencies, University of Oxford, and the World Bank in LMIC contexts across South Asia, Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Eastern Europe, and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Her work has focused on the intersection of public policy, digital and technological transformation, and research-based innovation bringing direct expertise in DPI and AI governance.
Ana Maria holds a BSc in Economics and two Master's degrees: an MSc in Quantitative Research Methods from University College London, and an MSc in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management from Imperial College Business School. Her career has evolved from applied statistics to policy work, and now to the innovation ecosystem, where she applies new methodologies and emerging technologies to tackle complex problems.
