Gillian is Provost of King's College, Cambridge.

She is a member of the Financial Times editorial board, and formerly chair of the editorial board and US editor-at-large.

Together with Agustín Carstens, Gillian is Co-Convenor of the Cambridge Digital Innovation and Regulation Initiative (C:\>DIR) - a global policy convening platform that fosters high-level dialogue on issues at the intersection of digital innovation and regulation between policymakers, regulators and market innovators.
