Our team

Prior to joining Fii, Max worked for the federal government of the United States, over a decade of which he served at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

At the CFPB, Max led on efforts to design and implement the US’ first national regulations for open banking and open finance, including some of the world’s most robust data protection rules. He also served as a subject matter expert and policy lead on credit cards, remittances, and payments, including cryptocurrency.

Max holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from The George Washington University’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.
