Our team

Nipuna has worked at the intersection of financial regulation, public policy, and emerging financial technology, with experience spanning legal practice, policy research, and legislative drafting.

Prior to joining Fii, she was a Research Fellow at the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, where she worked on financial sector regulation and policy. She previously worked at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, where her research focused on open finance, financial sector reform, digital assets, and central banking.

Nipuna began her career as a corporate lawyer, advising on mergers and acquisitions and investment transactions. She holds an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s degree in Law and Economics and a BA LLB (Hons) from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, India.
