Launch catch up: Open-Source G2P Programme
Virtual launch and early insights: G2P Architecture & Open-Source Implementation
Recording from 24 March 2026
Including a panel on Realising Value in Open-Source G2P Architectures: Policy Implications and Practical Pathways
Government-to-Person (G2P) payment systems are critical for social protection, financial inclusion, and public service delivery in low- and middle-income countries. Despite the efficiency gains from digital technologies, many governments struggle to select and operationalise suitable platforms for digitalisation due to limited technical capacity, institutional constraints, and the absence of clear evaluation frameworks - particularly for open-source and digital public infrastructure (DPI) approaches.
Catch up on the virtual launch of the Open-Source G2P Programme above, bringing together global experts, development partners, practitioners, and researchers to exchange lessons and identify practical pathways for adopting open-source architectures in G2P systems.
The session presents early research findings and highlights the programme’s relevance to countries advancing sustainable and inclusive DPI-enabled G2P systems.
Our high-level panel examines cross-country policy and implementation experiences, focusing on how to design, integrate, and scale G2P systems within core DPI components.
