Women Regulators Network launches Financial Inclusion Perspectives webinar series
Proudly brought to you by the Women Regulators Network (WRN), powered by the Regulator Knowledge Exchange (RKE), a new two-part webinar series draws inspiration from the Women's World Banking Policy Handbook for Women’s Financial Inclusion 2026.
Persistent gaps remain in women’s financial inclusion. Despite decades of progress, women continue to face persistent and systemic gaps in access to safe, affordable and appropriate financial services.
These gaps are not incidental - they are the product of policies, markets and technologies that were never designed with women in mind.
As financial systems rapidly digitise and artificial intelligence becomes embedded in credit, payments and identity infrastructure, these risks are accelerating. Without gender‑intentional policy design, technology will not be neutral: it will amplify existing biases and create new forms of downstream harm.
The responsibility is ours - to ensure innovation does not come at the expense of women’s rights, autonomy, and economic security, and to advocate for frameworks that actively protect and advance women’s financial inclusion in the digital age.
Within a two-part Perspectives on Financial Inclusion webinar series, the WRN will bring to life the 7 policy principles critical to enabling gender inclusive policies, exploring these principles through the lens of the WRN Council members, who will bring their real-life experiences to the panels, while also presenting a number of case studies showing measurable results in gender-intentional policy-making.
This is a must-attend series for regulators, public sector agencies, financial services, fintechs, regtechs, technology, academia and consulting firms working in the space!
