On 19 August we were delighted to present a webinar on Gender-Inclusive Design in Government-to-Person (G2P) Systems, hosted by Financial Innovation for Impact in collaboration with the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, Cambridge Judge Business School, with support from the Gates Foundation.

This session brought together policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and technology stakeholders to discuss the drivers of gender gaps in G2P systems and identify strategies for advancing gender-responsive social protection through inclusive design, digital public infrastructure, and enabling policy and governance frameworks that support equitable financial inclusion.

On 24 March 2026 we were delighted to present a virtual launch and early insights from our Open-Source G2P Programme. The event included a high-level panel on Realising Value in Open-Source G2P Architectures: Policy Implications and Practical Pathways.

Government-to-Person (G2P) payment systems are critical for social protection, financial inclusion, and public service delivery in low- and middle-income countries. Despite the efficiency gains from digital technologies, many governments struggle to select and operationalise suitable platforms for digitalisation due to limited technical capacity, institutional constraints, and the absence of clear evaluation frameworks - particularly for open-source and digital public infrastructure (DPI) approaches.
